Concatenate Formula doesn't do its job...

When I enter the formulae =CONCATENATE(A2,B2) or =A2&B2 rather than joining
the two texts, the formula as such is visible. This happens even when I enter
the formula via "Insert Function" where the result of the combined text is
visible!

The cell containing the formula is probably formatted to Text. It is O.K.
for A2 and B2 to be formatted as Text, but not the cell containing the
formula. Clear the cell, format it to General, and then re-enter the formula.

It sounds as if the cell was formatted as text before you entered the
formula. Format the cell as General, then either re-enter the formula or F2
to edit and enter.
Another possibility is that you're displaying formulae, rather than their
results. Control + ` (Control and grave accent) to toggle.

It did the trick...

Thank you so much
