Computers can't see each other

I have two fairly new computers, one running XP Home and one running XP Pro.
They can both access the internet through a ethernet hub and when the first
came home they could see each other. Now for some strange reason they no
longer see each other, they both still have access to the internet. I have
tried turning off the Firewall and have run the "Network Wizard" a few times.
They just will not access each other.

I'm experiencing the same problem. I had two computers.. one running XP home
one running XP Pro, and they were able to share files and printers and see
each other. Then I bought a Laptop with Windows XP Home, and purchased the
Linksys WRT54G wireless router. After I hooked it up I was able to share my
internet connection with all three computers, but I can no longer see any
computers on my network. I have ran network setup wizard numerous times,
tried changing the workgroup name, but I still can't see any other computers.
When I click on view workgroup computers I get this message: "'workgroup
name' is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network
resource. Contact the administrator of the server to find out if you have
access permission. The list of servers for this workgroup is not currently
available." I have no clue what that means considering I am the
administrator, and I want all three computers to have access, and I haven't
set up a password or anything to prevent them from access. Can someone help
me out, and explain how I can fix this. One more thing to note, all three
computers are running SP2, i heard this can screw up network drivers.

I'm not sure if you can edit a message, and if you can I don't know how, so I
just wanted to add something else. All three computers have Windows Firewall
disabled, and have Norton Internet Securities 2005 enabled, including Norton
firewall. Two of the computers are hooked up to the router with cables,
while the laptop is wireless.

Disable the firewall. Then try to connect.
Here are some more suggestions.

Since your connecting through a hub. I assume all your computers have
external IP addresses, from your ISP. A more secure and cheaper solution
would be to get a router. Your computers are open to the internet if your
have file sharing enabled and using public IP addresses.

My issue was with Norton Internet Securities. I just had to go in and
manually enter computer ID's that I wanted to share with. My problem is
solved. Thanks for all your help.
