I resently moved some files around on my laptop. But now when I start
it up it starts normally and shows info about the computer and says
press f2 to go to setup then it shows an NTDETECT failed message. After
that it trys to boot up again but shows the same message. My computer
does this infinitely so i can not get to my desktop. How do I fix this?

Please copy / paste error message.

Well, I guess you moved the wrong files! Seriously, try repairing the
boot files by booting into the Recovery Console. Here is a link that
will explain the whole process:

If that doesn't work, then you did too much damage - and there is no way
for us to know what you really did - and you'll need to try a Repair
Install next. If the Repair Install doesn't work, format the drive and
start over.

You're right of course but the other person is still able to type the
full text of the message!

I don't know for a fact but is it possible that 'restore' would help in a
case like this by doing a safe boot then restore from there?
