Get a windows that rpc has encountered a problem and the
system will shut down in 30 secs similar to the window
that opens up when you shut down a computer remotely.
Anyone seen this? I scanned the computer for viruses and
its clean.

Sounds like Blaster attack. Go to Windows update and make sure all critical
updates are installed.

Do you have a firewall in place? Blaster exploits this weakness.
Did you get a message about "Remote Procedure Call" problem and with "NT
system authority"?
