Computer will shut down in 30 secs

Get a windows that rpc has encountered a problem and the
system will shut down in 30 secs similar to the window
that opens up when you shut down a computer remotely.
Anyone seen this? I scanned the computer for viruses and
its clean.

Sounds like Blaster attack. Go to Windows update and make sure all critical
updates are installed.
 
And do this frequently, or at least listen to the radio or watch the news
once or twice a month. This was all over the news. Pay attention. Do you
change the oil in your car ever?

Do you have a firewall in place? Blaster exploits this weakness.
Did you get a message about "Remote Procedure Call" problem and with "NT
system authority"?
