Save As, then select some sort of image type, such as jpg or bmp. Save the
current slide and go to Desktop. Right click, Properties and browse to your
picture.
When you click on the Save As.. down at the bottom is a window where you can select the type of file, scroll down there until you find the image type of your choice, and select it. I am assuming that you just want one particular slide for your wallpaper. that is the one I would save and say no when asked if you want to save all slides.

I have tried to Save As and it will only let me save as
