computer turns itself off

My computer (Compaq) keeps turning itself off.This occurs about 2 hrs after
turning it on.
I have been able to see if there is anything that should not be there (
bugs,etc) and cannot see anything.


Has anyone got any ideas please????????
 
Do you know where the power options are? if so check them for settings
also check your bios for power settings and or hibernate settings.
are you sure it's powering down, it could be going into hibernate mode
that's different than powering down

A couple of Presario 6000 models have a similar issue where this is an
early symptom of a power supply failure.
