Computer Settings without Permissions!?!

Just to make sure I understand this correctly:
In Group Policy Computer settings are set by applying GP
to the computer names and the user settings are applied by
applying GP to user's names or authenticated users.

If I have this concept right Authenticated Users does not
include computers, only users. I have one GPO with it
applied to Authenticated Users. The Problem I have is
when I enable a computer setting it applies to everyone,
like the user settings do, even though only Authenticated
Users is applied. Why is this? What should I check?

Any Help Would be Appreciated.
