Computer Screen Becomes Fuzzy

Occasionally, when I enter a command, my computer will pause, and then the
screen repaints itself with a large, fuzzy font. It remains in this mode
until I restart. I have a Celeron processor running Windows XP, with 640 MB
of RAM (I orginally had 128 MB but added a 512 MB chip). Any ideas on what
the root cause is, and what could be done to fix it? Thanks.

It could be your video drivers that may be using shared RAM. Celeron does
not have cache RAM on the chip, thus uses shared RAM. Your combined RAM
of 640 should be enough but your virtual RAM (page file) has to be reset.
It should be reset to 3 times the RAM:
Start/Control Panel/System/Advanced tab/Performance/Settings/Advanced tab
Virtual Memory>Change button (Custom size) - set Init to 1 1/2 times and MAX
to 3 times and click SET>OK
Init=960
MAX=1920
