computer not visible in Workgroup

I have a small home network (six computers). All of the computers are on the
same workgroup, (default..."Workgroup"). all of the computers are visible
when I go to "View network computers" except one. Also, inorder to map a
drive from this computer, I had to do it manally.

I welcome all suggestions.

One of the most common causes of this problem would be a misconfigured or
overlooked personal firewall, or other security component. There are several
other possibilities too, and any might be the cause of your problem. Read this
article with an open mind.

Take a look at "browstat status", "ipconfig /all", "net config server", and
"net config workstation", from the problem computer, and from 2 others, and
diagnose the problem. Read this article, and linked articles, and follow
instructions precisely (download browstat!):
