COMPUTER NOT BOOTING UP!! PLEASE HELP ME!!!

I recently was installing the Microsoft pack for Windows XP on my Compaq Presario 730 Laptop. It froze in the middle of it and I had no choice but to turn the computer off. Apparently this was a big mistake!! It will not start up now. The opening Compaq screen comes up and then a black screen and then the Windows logo screen with the little green loading bar at the bottom... and my computer sounds like it is running, then it goes right back to the Compaq screen. IT does this over and over. I have sat on the phone w/ technical support for hours just to have them tell me to do the things i have already tried. i have tried to pust F8 and boot it in all the different modes. Nothing! I have tried to load BIOS and make sure my cd-drive is ahead of the hard drive. I have tried to load my system restore cds. When i first experienced this problem, i loaded it and the warning came up and asked me if i was sure that i wanted to reformat my drive- that it would delete everything. i was scared so i pressed no. Now I am unable to bring up the restore cd's at all. IS there anything else that I can try? Please... I need my computer. I dont know what else to do! If i could just get into windows. I dont have a windows xp cd. My computer came w/ XP already on it. Could I possibly buy a new windows xp cd and load it on my computer. Or is there something else I should try? PLEASE PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Your restore cd should have windows on them. The retail XP disk has some
utilities that the restore disk probably does not have. One feature is
repair install. This procedure could possibly fix your present installation
and retain the files and setting that you presently have. But you did say
that you were having problems booting the restore cd . You will have to boot
the XP cd with the bios set to boot the cd in the first position. Jym

Is there a way that I could get the system restore cds on floppy disks? I
think that there might be a problem w/ my cd-drive. I was having trouble
before and I fixed it. I am afraid that because of this problem, it messed
up my cd drive again. What should I do?
