Computer Melt Down HELP!!

John Visconti

Hi,
I'm running windows XP Pro with Service Pack 2
I just installed Microsoft AntiSpywate Beta1 on one of my
computers.
I ran the program and it found spyware and registry
problems etc etc.
I told the program to clean everything. The program then
told me I should reboot ASAP.
I rebooted the machine and when I went to go log back in
the machine just sat there w/ "Loading Settings".
About 5min later the desktop would load up, but not the
start menu or bottom bar. About 1 min later the machine is
forced to shutdown because the RPC service was terminated
unexpectedly. So I started the machine again and opened up
the antispyware program and it gave me a Error 101.
I tryed starting the computer in safe mode, and also tryed
going to "Last Known Config" and nothing worked.
I would really rather not reinstall the machine.
Any Advise would be great.

I also forgot something.
When the computer finally logs in, Theres not network connection, and my
Anti Virus Software has a X on top of it.. And when I try to enable it, it
goes right back to disabled.

Dave posted this a little while ago:
"Thanks guys for your responses. I was able to F8, Safe
Start and do a System Restore from a previous config. I
appreciate the support...i thought i was a goner...whew."
You might want to try doing that.
