I have just installed a third copy of XP Pro and cannot
gain access to the Progran Files folder on the shared
drive on this computer. Looking at Computer management,
the "Local Users anf Groups" folder is not installed.

How can I recover this folder so I can manage the user
accounts etc and allow access to the folders on this
computer.

I prefer not to have to do a reinstall of XP

No, complain to microsoft and tell them that they screwed you over by not
writing their operating system correctly and by using closed "standards",
which prevent you from finding the cause of the problem.
