Computer Keeps Restarting Because RPC Terminates

R

Rebecca June Parks

In the past few days, I have barely been able to get
anything done on my computer because, out of the blue,
I'll get a message saying that the computer is shutting
down because "Remote Procedure Call (RPC) service
terminated unexpectedly."

Go to MVP Kellys website at the following address. She has this error well
documented there including some files that will automatic fix the problem.

Hi,
It sounds as though you've run into the recent virus
attack on rpc ports. Here is more information that may
help.

Do you watch the T.V. news or listen to the radio? Get your head out of the
sand. This has been on every newscast for the past 2 days!

You have the Blaster worm!!

First, stop the bug from running by hitting CTRL-ALT-DELETE and
bringing up the task manager. Look for msblast.exe in the list, and
kill it. Now your computer won't shut down, but the bug is still there
and will run the next time you start your machine. Go to this URL to
find out how to get rid of it:
