I installed the WIndows XP Pro upgrade, and everything is
installed, and everytime I minimize anything, my computer
hestitates every 2 seconds, I've tried installing windows
XP with 2 different CD's, one of which is new.. I've had
Windows XP on this machine before, and it didn't do this,
so I don't know what to do...

First, make sure you have all the right drivers
installed. Also if you have any flavor of Kazaa or
morpheus, they install spyware, in fact check for spyware
by downloading Adaware of Spybot, a lot of times these
programs run in the background and can take processor
time.

Also, go to your task manager and check to see if you
have any tasks running that shouldn't be running. In
addition, go to Start>Run> Type msconfig and hit OK, go
to the "Startup" tab and uncheck anything you dont' want
to start at startup. A lot of times you will have a
bunch of stuff running in your systray or in the
background that may be taking valuable processor time
even though you may never be using those services.
