Yesterday morning & this morning, after turning my computer on, it freezes!
I can't get anywhere or do anything. I have to turn it off by pushing the
button until it shuts off. I wait a few minutes, turn the computer back on
and it won't start at all at first, then I push the button back on again and
finally it starts up. This morning though it froze up the 2nd time it had
restarted so I do the same thing all over and now it's running and I'm able
to be in this group and so forth. My question is it happening to anybody
else. I did get an update from Microsoft yesterday morning. Seems like it
does it right after an update. This has been going on since February since
having Vista Ultimate on a new computer.

Thanks for any help at all.

Since the problem occurred right after an update, either uninstall the
updates or do a System Restore to before the updates were installed.

When you do the updates, take the option to view the updates instead of
just installing "Express". You may be installing a driver update that is
causing this issue. I always set Windows Updates to download and inform
me instead of to Automatic. This way you can see what the updates are
and make choices.
