Computer description

I am in the process of setting up my home network. For some reason on my
laptop when I navigate to the box labeled "Computer Description"
(Start>Control Panel> System>Computer Name) it will not allow me to enter
anything into that box. The box is there but is empty and I cannot activate
the box. I can enter info into the Computer name and workgroup boxes but not
the computer description box does anyone know how I can do it?

Logon asd Administrator.
open a CMD.EXE window.
Type
REG ADD HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanServer\Parameters /V srvcomment /F /D "Your descripotion here"
Press Enter
Restart Windows XP.
