During short periods of inactivity, my computer will just freeze, all that I
can do is push my reset button. I've narrowed it down to be a problem with
my hardware, although what I can't figure out. I've formatted my computer, I
have updated drivers, i've updated my BIOS, I've run virus checkers and
adware scans. I've rewired my computer, everything is in secure. I've got
an AMD Athlon 64 3000+ processor, ASUS K8V Deluxe mobo, 1024 of ram (2 diff
brands), Geforce FX 5900 128 meg vid card, soundblaster live 5.1 sound card,
420 watt power supply, windows xp home service pack 2, uhh, whatever other
ifnormation you need, lemme know i'll be happy to supply it. Thanks.

Tried changing the RAM? Or if you have two or more chips, remove each in
turn?

Memory issues are one of the top causes of random crashes. You note that
your memory is of two different brands. This could be a problem.
