Up to Friday, I was able to right click on a folder and have the option to 'compress' a folder, but I no longer am given that option. What can I do to get this back?

Try Send To> Compressed Folder.
Was that what you were looking for? If yes and you still do not see the
option, use Start> Run and type regsvr32 zipfldr.dll
Click OK and OK again after the message the the DLL registration was
successful.
