Hi, I am using PowerPoint 2000... I try to minimise my images etc, but the
files are still huge. Does anyone know how to auomatically run a program to
reduce the file size?

Help !!

What is huge? How large is your presentation? How large are your images? How
many images are there? Do you have Fast Saves turned on? Go to Tools > Options
Save. If Fast Saves is turned on, uncheck the box and then save your
presentation with a new name. Does that reduce the size?

It's best to follow Sonia's advice first and optimize images before inserting.
Otherwise, here is a product I saw at PowerPoint Live that does a good job:

There is a fully functional demo available you can try.

There are quite a few reasons why PPT file sizes can get out of hand.
This explains most of them and offers fixes where available:

Why are my PowerPoint files so big? What can I do about it?
