hi,
I need some help please. I have more than 1 GB compressed
old files. I would like to know What are old compressed
files in disk clean up? Is it safe to remove them? How
can I view them to choose a file to delete or not in
compressed old files?

I am using a dell 4550 windows xp home.

Thanks

That is an offer to compress "old files". These are the files cleanup
"thinks" you don't need fast access to. Unless you are short on disk space,
do not use this function. It may cause problems down the line.

hi JAX,

Thanks for your message, but how can I access to them? I
mean how can I have a list of them to see what they are?

If you go to control panel and open "add remove programs" to the right of
the pane you will see the frequency of use for the individual programs.
Aside from that, the only way I know of would be, go to each file and look
at the properties of each. There may be some other, that's all I know.

You can access them like anything else on you're computer.
They are not special files, they are files that have not been used or
modified for a set time.

Thanks for your messages, I understood what you said, but
what I mean is that when you want to use the clean up
windows brings up the "compressed old files" and there is
no a view botton to view the files, so i was wondering if
there is any way to view them using clean up.

So, how do you go about it?

JAX
