Compressed folder files missing

The Compressed (zipped) folder feature in XP appears to
have a bug with file names with embedded comma. Is this
a known problem in XP? Are there other characters that
cause this behaviour too? Is there a solution (besides
the obvious)?

To demonstrate: Put (drag) a file with a comma in the
file name (abc, def.txt) into a compressed (zipped)
folder. Open the compressed folder in XP Explorer. You
can not see the file. It really is there, you just can't
see it. XP Explorer will not extract it either.

WINZIP sees the file.

Unfortunately I can' t help with this but this post helped us figure out what
was going on. We couldn't figure out why it was taking some files and not
others until I saw this and removed the commas from our file names and it
worked. Thank you. I would like to see if MS confirms this as being a
problem and develop a fix for it.
