'compress picture' vs PS Image Resize

Good afternoon!

I've perused the group, but haven't seen anything SPECIFIC regarding
which would give the sharper picture - PPT's 'compress picture'
function vs using Photoshop's 'Image Resize' and specifying the size of
the photo to correspond with the screen resolution of the projector.

NOTE: I did NOT mention DPI! :)

BTW, I personally prefer to use PPT, and 'compress picture' to PRINT
(200 DPI) as I do see a difference when projecting my photos, ie the
web/screen resolution (96 DPI) gives a less than ideal result.

Thanks in advance,

EXTRA JELLIE BEANS FOR THIS ONE!! ;-)

I don't know that we have any exact comparisons here, but you may well find
that for some images, starting with an image that's a bit higher resolution
that strictly called for will indeed give better results.

Simplest rule of thumb from the tautological redundancy division department:
What pleases your eye best, pleases your eye best.

Run some tests with the kinds of images you use, your system, your projector
and go with what looks best to you.
