Compress email - free up space

Every time I shut down OE I get the message 'to free up space - compress
messages' etc etc

but the thing is, i have lots of space, both physically and on my ISP mail
store, and even if i put a tick in the 'dont ask me again' box i get it
every time.

my inbox has 20-30 messages in it, deleted items is empty, nothing else
'stored' so any ideas please people?
