Is there a way to have different files with same name/type in the repository
of a single component? In Component Designer, we are only allowed to assign
the destination path for each file. I can't seem to figure out how to assign
a source path.

In Component Designer, for the component clock on the files section. Right
click the file you wish to change, and select properties. Now you can change
the source name to what ever you like.

If you want to have different versions of the same file in the same
repository, put the version number as part of the file name and adjust the
source file property accordingly.
