Hello

In Component designer, when I'm creating a component for one of my device, I
noticed that when I look at the SLD browser - component - file tab,
everything looks right, except, I've got a filename.cat going to the
location %66000%\filename.cat

What is that location, and should I change it or be concerned?

Thanks

I don't think CAT files are need to run the driver, unless you are planning
to unistall them from the image. I typically delete them from my
components..

The component I'm creating is for a driver that I may wantto unistall, for
instance a video driver or a NIC driver. I assume if I ever want to upgrade
to a newer version of those drivers I'll need the unistall information to
do so. If I include the .cat file, will I be able to go into add/Remove
programs and remove them?

The tyipical Intel Pro Network adapter also has a small gui based applet
that it installs. Would a making a componet automagically install that
applet, or is there something else I need to do in the creation of that
component?

Thanks
