Completed tasks filtered from Task View but still show on TaskPad?

I'm using Outlook 2002 in the Office XP package. I've read the instructions
to filter the Completed Tasks from the Task View-Current View screen, and
that works. But when I return to the Calendar View, the Completed Tasks still
show up on the TaskPad.

How do I get the Completed Tasks to be filtered off the TaskPad as they are
finished?
