Compiling a .MDE file

I have a large number of queries, forms, and reports on my project. I was
wondering how long it usually takes to create an .mde file. Anyone have an
idea? Thanks.

not long. don't remember it ever taking longer than 30 seconds, but I've
never clocked it.

If you find it's taking a lot longer than that, you might need a decompile.
Probably not a bad idea before creating an mde in any case:

And don't forget to Compile again to see if you have any errors. A Compact
and Repair would be in order as well before creating the MDE.

Ok, thanks. There's something definately wrong with my machine or the file
then, I let it go for about an hour while I worked somewhere else. I finally
stopped it through the task-manager. The front-end of my database is about
16Mb, but I don't see why it should take so long.
