error message:
"The application failed to start because the application configuration is
incorrect".
The environment is as follows:
The IDE is VS 2008 with SP1 running on Windows Vista.
The other PC is Windows XP sp1

What version of .NET does your application target? What version is
installed on the other PC?

Thanks Mr. Duniho,

I checked and saw the following-
What version of .NET does your application target?
Version 2.0
What version is
installed on the other PC?
Both version 1.1 and version 2.0

James

It is considered very rude to repost numerous times with slightly
different thread names. Multiple posts, period, are rude, but when you
change the thread name, it is obvious you did it on purpose.

I answered in the other thread.

Dear Mr. Beamer,
I'm really very sorry since I posted there mistakenly internally, inside the
thread, though as you can see according to the content that it should be a
header post.
Only after realizing that, I reposted in a new thread as I intended in the
first place.
You choosed to answer to the first post and I thank you allot hoping that
you'll accept my explanation and my apology.

I am not overly bent out of shape. I just find that many people feel they
will get an answer quicker if they post ten times with different headers. I
hope I did not come across as an ass replying. Just wanted to make sure you
were aware. ;-)

Peace and Grace,
