Compile error in hidden module:main

This error followed a system restore. I get this message when I open a word
document - 'Compile error in hidden module:main'. I haven't a clue what it
means and the help article for it is even more confusing.
The help mentions a 'protected module'(?) and a 'project'(?) and then
suggest that I 'unprotect the project' and 'run the code again to view the
error'.
How do I find out which 'module'(?) is protected and then how do I
'unprotect the project'??

I'd try repairing/reinstalling Office application.
