Just installed Office XP and on opening and closing Word I get the error in
the subject line, it's in a Visual Basic Gui. It was also happening when
Excel opened, a little different final module, but othe users fixed that one
with letting me know to delete the pdf addins. Alas, it didn't help Word!
Any ideas gang?
Thanks, Tanya

See section 4 of

Thanks Jay, that did the job. It was the pdfmaker.dot in Word's case! The
Pdfmaker.xla in Excel's case. That whole addin must have been corrupt
somehow. I didn't find a Normal.dot so assumed it might be the pdfmaker
here too since there was a pdfmaker.dot.

Not necessarily corrupt - more likely the wrong version.

That makes sense, and very well could be as I had Office 2000
installed before Office XP....could that do it?

I don't know what add-ins you have installed, but yes it could be that.
Check any apps that link with Word and update them.
