Comparing values from two fields

I have two fields (field1 & field2). I don't want the database user (plan on
users with minimal computer experience) to be able to leave that record until
the value in field2 is greater that field1. FYI: Field1 is CurrentHours and
Feld2 is HoursAtLastEvent. Any suggestions?

Correction:
Field1 is HoursAtLastEvent & Field2 is CurrentHours

You'll need to use the BeforeUpdate event of your data entry form:

If Me.Field2 <= Me.Field1 Then
Msgbox "The value of Field2 must be larger than the value of Field1"
Cancel = True
End If
