lets say i have a spreadsheet with columns A and B containing the same data.
i would like to know how i can show in column C those values not in column A
as compard to column B as i take them out of column A.

Let's say we have in cols A & B:

123 123
456 456
789 789
54 54
678 678
53 53
5467 5467
23411 23411

doesn't matter if numbers or words.

In C1 enter:
=IF(COUNTIF(A:A,B1)=0,B1,"") and copy down
Now if you remove a value from column A:

123 123
456 456
789 789
54 54
678 678
5467 53 53
23411 5467
23411

Column C will show the removed value.
