Compare two worksheets

I have two worksheets in different workbooks that contain a list of
data in each column. I want to be able to compare sheet1 column1 with
sheet2 column1 against one another and export, to a new sheet, the row
from sheet2 in which there is a match for that cell. I want a results
sheet. Macros would be a great start. Sheet1 contains 15digit numbers
for accounts and sheet2 contains 15digits plus a letter or two. I want
to be able to find a match no matter if there are letters or not.
