Compare two columns

I have two columns of data that I would like to compare
and end up with one list of like items and one list of
different items (like a hugh checkbook - I want to check
what has cleared the bank and what hasn't)

Let's say column A is what has cleared the bank and column
B are the checks that have been written. I want to end up
with items in column C that have cleared and colunn D that
haven't cleared.
