Compare Planned to Actual monthly payments

I have a CustID with monthly payments set up. I have the StartMonth and
NoOfMonths, which vary for each CustID.

What I really need to do is compare what was supposed to happen to what
actually happened each month.

I have thought about it all day, and am not sure the best way to go about
it. One catch is that we record our months in yymm format, not actual dates.

actually happened each month. For planned payments, I enter the CustID, payment amount, StartMonth, and NoOfMonths. For the actual payments, I import from Excel, so each month there will be a separate row.
