I have two nonshared workbooks that need to be merged Wk bk 3 into wb 1 after
comparing Here's content from them:
Workbook 1

FIRM_NO FLEET_NO UNIT_NO Renewed PLATE_NO AXLES VEH_MAKE
7206 1 526311C Y P00438585 2 FRTL
7206 1 90478A Y P00417552 3 INTH
7206 1 525777A Y P00467280 5 WHGM

Workbook 2

FIRM_NO FLEET_NO UNIT_NO PLATE_NO VEH_MAKE
7206 1 739 P00023374 KW
7206 1 756 P00022115 KEN
7206 1 2545 P00023385 INTL

In order to use the Compare and Merge Workbooks feature see Excel Help: "Make
sure the copies of the shared workbook that you want to merge are all stored
in the same folder. To do this, you must give each copy a different name."

Although it's name suggests otherwise, the feature is not used to simply
combine the content of two separate & distinct workbook files. One must start
as a copy (Save As) of a file designated as Shared even if nobody else uses
it.

Hope this is useful |:>)
