Compare 2 arrays of data

Hi

I want to compare 2 worksheets.

The common ID I have is Employee ID. What I want to do is lookup an employee
ID from sheet1 and see whether the Employee's designation and
Employee Department mentioned in sheet1 is equivalent to the Designation
and department in sheet 2 for the corresponding Emp. ID in sheet 2.

Please tell me if this is possible.

I'm not sure that this is what you're looking for, but assuming the
following:

Sheet 1
---------

Employee ID Employee's Designation Employee Department
4569 Full-time Accounting
4689 Part-time Sales
etc...

Sheet 2
---------

Employee ID Employee's Designation Employee Department
4689 Part-time Sales
etc...

Enter this formula in Cell D2 and copy it down as far as you need to:

=IF((VLOOKUP(A2,Sheet1!$A$2:$C$10,2,0)=Sheet2!B2)*(VLOOKUP(A2,Sheet1!$A$2
:$C$10,3,0)=Sheet2!C2),"Same","Not the Same")
