compaq presario/windows xp keeps shutting down

With no warning or reason my pc keeps shutting down, this
could be "going to sleep, or complete shut down". I
could be using any of the programs at the time, I have
checked the settings but to no avail
 
If you do not get some kind of error message or other message you could have
a faulty power supply or have a heat problem with the processor. A hard
drive problem is also a possibility. Make sure your fans are working and
that there is adequate ventilation for your computer.

This is caused by the Blaster worm exploiting the DCOM vulnerability in XP.
You must patch your system.
