Compact Error File Location

Hello and Thank you,

I have my Access 2007 set to automatically compact and repair at exit. The
last time I did, I got an error message saying there was an issue and it was
changing the name and location of the compacted database.

I can not find this repaired database and my original is gone now too.

Any ideas where I might find it?

OUCH! Mark, I think you have been bitten by one of the worst bugs in A2007.

Microsoft released a hotfix for this back in April 16:

But unless you know about the problem, and requested the hotfix, you
probably have lost the database.

Other than the kb, what I know about the bug and how to avoid it is listed

Maybe if you had read my reccomendations and moved to SQL Server--
then maybe your database wouldn't be _GONE_.
