Compact Back End

[Ripper]

I just read that the Compact on Close check does not work for backends as
they are not "opened" by Access, just used.

Is there a function that I can use to Compact and Repair the access backend
when it is "closed" by the last user? If so, how do I impliment that in the
database.

I see how that one works, but I am not on the site where the program is
implemented. I was hoping for some procedure that could be or is automated
to run at specific times to compact and repair the database.

Jeanette was on the right track, but there is a better sample db for your
needs

'CompactBackEndDB.mdb ( expert ) '
