Compact and Repair Problems

Whenever I compact and repair my database and then reopen
it later (default startup to a Main Menu form), none of
the buttons work unless I compact and repair again while
bypassing the startup menu. Why does this happen?

Long shot, but when I had some similar problems in the past I found it was
because of garbage left behind during the development process. I imported
everything in anew, blank adatabse, thus creating an clean copy of it, and
it solved the problem. maybe you wanna give it a shot.

Practically there's only one method! Create a new, blank database. Go to
menu item File > Get External Data > Import. Selet the old .mdb file, and
select all objects in all tabs. If it's a big database go for a cup of
coffee or a fag, if you smoke, and with a bit of luck it will be done by the
time you get back.
