using: XP Pro ver2002 sp2

I think some SDK items deleted/uninstalled...?

Error: trying to install some software and:
popup states "Please wait while Windows configures Common Setup Files
(3790.0)"

Then popup "The feature you are trying to use is on a CD-ROM....."
and if just hit OK, a msg says that attempting to find "PSDK-x86.msi"

I think this means new install???? or SPx removal and reinstall???

I would very much appreciate help on this as no package install = no wages
for me, as need software.

Oh well - over to people who know... :O)

Thanks
Tim

What are you installing? For what OS is the software for? Do you have the
intended OS? It sounds as if you are installing a Win2k3 component (aka the
3790 is the current build for Win2k3 server).

AQ - is xp pro sp2. but some files were deleted (not explicit i know...)
Causing mentioned errors. In the end - upgraded 20mb 5400 hdd to 160mb 7200
hdd and did total ntfs xp pro 2000 install (no sp's) Then found 266mb sp2
download on msoft developers area. All in all = total nightmare, but my 'old'
1ghz amd screams with clean install and the 7.2k hdd ;-)
my lesson = ONLY install what 'seriously' need - stop foolin around with
junk freebies and.... in essence - learn to be satisfied now 'n then instead
of always looking for the next software 'fix'.
here endeth my soapbox eulogy!
