Comments fields disappear

I've a large (importnat, of course!) spreadsheet and many cells have comments
attached. Suddenly many (not all) have disappeared - but not completely.
Now, there's the red triangle in the corner of the cell, an arrow - but no
comments box. Gone!

Any ideas, please?!

Click TOOLS on the menu and select OPTIONS and click th VIEW tab. Verify
that the COMMENTS panel is set to COMMENT & INDICATOR.

Thanks Kevin - but that doesn't solve the problem - that option's set but
I've still got the problem where the connector arrow leads to nothing. It's
as though the comments boxes have been lost.
