Command prompt error

Hello,
Whenever I try to run a command prompt I get the folowing error:

cmd.exe Application error
The application failed to initialize properly(Oxc0000005). Clcik on OK to
terminate the application.

I click ok and then the command window closes.

How can I fix that?
