Command prompt convert fat 32 to NTFS

When running the command -convert c: /fs:ntfs- from the command prompt I get
a message that reads- convert is not recognized as an internal or external
command, operable program or batch file. Can anyone tell me what that means?

convert is in windows/system32 - your paths are probably not set

Before you convert the drive you should read MVP Alex Nichol's article
on the subject at http://www.aumha.org/win5/a/ntfscvt.htm

There is a preliminary step that you should/must take so as to ensure
optimal performance after the conversion.
