The font color on my command prompt recently changed to
red. I did not change the color myself & it only happens
for my user profile. I have tried to edit the associated
registry values in HKEY\LOCAL_USER, even deleting the key
altogether. When I right click on the title bar of the
command window, it allows me to change the settings, but
it goes right back to the red on black color scheme. I
have re-loaded the entire system, but as soon as I pulled
my profile from the domain controller, the color scheme
changed to what it was before. Somebody help me before I
switch to Linux!

There is no such thing as Hkey\Local User. What did you actually do.
