command buttons in microsoft access 2003

I am using MS Access 2003 in Windows XP. In a form I created 4 command
buttons (new record, next record, delete record, print record). When I run
the form and I press any of the 4 buttons I get the following message:
"The expression On Click you entered as the event property setting produced
the following error: A problem occured while microsoft office access was
communicating with the OLE server or activex control"

Can anybody help?

Unfortunately no, it doesn't apply in my case. It seems that it has to do
something with the fact that the data in the table were imported from an
excel file however, I cannot see why this would affect the command buttons on
a form.

Yes it happens in all machines.

That does sound very much like a corrupted database then. Take a look at Mr
Browne's site to see ways around that.

I had the same problem. Ended up copying the form and giving it a new name
and everything worked fine. The joys of working with Access, I suppose!
