Command Buttons - Help !

I have started using basic command buttons with hyperlinks. These establish
ok, but when the document is saved and re-opened the buttons and associated
hyperlinks no longer work. Can anyone tell me why?

Can you describe in more detail what it is you've done, and with which version
of Word?
