combox auto fill

I have my database build,with staff table,and staff form so when I choose
emplyee badge number,his name and team auto filled,this works well,but its
not saving records I choose anywhere !

MAANI,

Where do you want the records to save? What you are describing below is a
form that simply looks up records. And since their information auto fills
in that indicates they are already entered OR is there additional
information that you tyrpe in that does not get saved? More information
would be helpful.

Also, not sure about the eMail notification... I use Outlook to view my
message and since they are being watched I can see when they get answered.
SOmeone else might be help with that issue.

Gina,

I have a similar problem, but I can't even get the form to auto fill. I have
one main table that holds all necessary information. In that table, I have
"Focus Area" and "Focus Area Leader" I have a seperate table that identifies
only the focus area and focus area leader. I have linked focus area in each
table together. Now I don't know how to tell the form, "If I select "Focus
Area 1" automatically update the "Focus area leader" field with the
appropriate name. Any help would be appreciated.

Almost missed this as it was attached to an old post. Next time, try
starting a new thread referencing the old thread. Now on to your problem...

If I understand you correctly, why do you need to store the Focus Area
Leader if it is already attached to the Focus Area? Sounds like you are
storing duplicate information which is never a good idea and goes against
database normalization. So let's hope that is not the case... Can you
provide me with your table layout and include the tables that are related to
your main table.
