combobox not working

Hi
I have entered a combobox from control toolbox directly onto spreadsheet and
entered range A:A in listfillrange but when try to click arrow I can't as
cursor shows 4 arrows and won't let me select drop down arrow
Any Ideas where I am going wrong?

Tina,

You are still in design mode. On the control toolbox toolbar, click the
design button, a sort of blue-green triangle.
